Further Tasks Coordinated by the General Secretariat

Under Governance 2020, the new management system no longer assigns faculties to members of the Executive Board of the University. As a result, responsibilities and process steps have been redefined for a number of business operations.

From 1 August 2020, the General Secretariat is responsible for coordinating the following additional tasks:

  • Accreditation of individual faculties or degree programs
  • Faculty decrees outside of teaching
  • Applications for the conferral of the venia legendi
  • Applications for the appointment of adjunct professors and clinical instructors
  • Issuing institute/department regulations according to the framework ordinance
